Use of Ipod
We do not encourage the use of ipods that do not allow runners to hear marshal and safety instructions. If a protest is made by another competitor you may be disqualified. This rule is to make the event safe and fun.
The race presentation will again be made at the end of the Mile event. If you are unable to stay for the presentation, race awards can be collected from the admin area approx. 20 min after you have finished and results are confirmed.
Left Bag security
A secure bag area will be provided at the Start/Finish area for athletes to leave their personal belongings while racing. This will be a self collect and no contact system.
There is ample parking in the Athletics Centre and adjoining park off the eastern end of High St Maitland
Spectators are welcome, however due to COVID, please limit crowding. In particular in the start and finish area. There are plenty of vantage points around the track away from the start and finish area and we encourage you to socially distance.
There is one drink station approx 2km into the course and also at the finish line area as you run through your laps. Normal cups will again be used. Both water and electrolytes will be distributed at drink stations
Medical personnel will be available at the start, on the course and finish Race compound.
